| Here are a few things I do to make keeping up with the housework a little easier.
1. Scrubbing Bubbles (dollar store or generic brands work just as well and cost much less) I use scrubbing bubbles for more than just the bathroom. I use it to scrub the kitchen and bathroom floors - just spray it on, let sit 10 minutes and then damp mop. Works fantastic! I also use the scrubbing bubbles once a month on the stove top, and weekly on the counters. It cleans without scratching and with no scrubbing required.
2. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (again, dollar store and generic brands work just as well and cost much less) I use these for scrubbing pots, baking sheets and cake/brownie pans, wiping switch plates and wiping the kids fingerprints off walls. They are great for daily wiping the counters and stove top, wiping down the fridge, etc...
3. Dust and sweep with the vacuum attachments. This has saved time, energy and is less painful. Once a month I polish the furniture but in between I use the soft brush attachment to do the dusting. My vacuum comes with an attachment for doing the tile floors and it's quicker and gets up more than using a broom.
4. Bleach toilet tank tablets (any brand) and give the toilet a quick swipe with the brush daily will save you having to do any scrubbing. | |

| Thanks for the tips Jacki. I must confess though, I have a little OCD going on. I vacuum, dust and clean the bathrooms every day before work | |

| I used to every day Brianna, but since the fibro on a lot of days I just couldn't do it. I do vacuum and do the bathrooms daily and I now try to get one room a day done as far as dusting and general cleaning. It's a lot less overwhelming and keeps me from overdoing it. And with two munchkins living here and the other 5 who visit on a regular basis those scrubbing bubbles for the floors are a life saver. Between the dirt, sand, grass and everything else they bring in with them, I have to vacuum the floors daily and use lots of scrubbing bubbles. It's just so quick and easy, I spray the bathrooms, run the vacuum, spray the floors then go wipe down the bathrooms, then damp mop the floors and I'm done. I also keep a can of scrubbing bubbles and a pkg. of magic erasers in each of the bathrooms and under the kitchen sink so they are always handy when I need them. Saves time and energy having them right where I need them all the time. | |

| I also clean the shower while I am in it. When the conditioner is in my hair, while the warm water is hitting my back and neck I use my feet to get the bottom and side, it is never perfect, but it is never dirty either!!! and I use the old body scrubber, it works faster and easier! If you only get a part of it one day, then you can get another part the next! Then if you dry it with a dirty towel, it shines and you never have to worry about hard water stains. If you actually have a day with extra energy (yeah right!) use RainX on it, the water and soap run right off of it and you only have towel dry for a few months at a time. Car waxing it last up to a year. This is worth hiring someone to do! (I use to own a cleaning business) I always charged a lot for the first visit so I could car wax all shower and tub enclosures so I wouldn't ever have to work hard again! | |
