My friend Rick

A friend of mine, Rick, is in the hospital and has been for 2 weeks now. He has 2 kinds of cancer, bone disease, that has made is bones so brittle that he now has 2 broken bones, he has respration issues, a weak heart and just developed another infection. I spent this afternoon with him. He thought I was his mom.... I am not asking for prayers of healing here, I am asking for prayers for him to have a peaceful and speedy passing to the other side to end is suffering. I can't watch this anymore . He has been in contant pain that is indescribable for the last year and a half, my love for him is great and I will surely miss him, but I can't watch him suffer any more. Thank you....

I can't hardly believe this; he is up and walking this morning.....the infection is going away...again. I don't know what to think. I don't know what to pray for....

Just pray for his comfort....whatever that may be

I'm glad to hear he is showing signs of improvement Terry. I'll continue to keep him in my prayers.

He is still in ICU and can't have any visitors again....

I just heard that his chances of being discharged are under 50% Thank you everyone

He is out of ICU, and in Physical Therapy for 2 weeks so he can rebuild his muscles do to the prolonged hospital stay; then he will be coming home!! all of his infections are gone, his is almost mended completely Thank you everyone for your prayers he still is fighting the 2 cancers, but hes is coming home!!!!

That's such good news Terry. I hope he continues on his path to wellness

The nurse called me to ask what his apartment situation was and if this was a care facility, I had to tell her no, but that he had me and Bobby to check in on him plus the Med alert he wears, so he will be home in 18 - 12 days! they are worried that his muscles are not strong enough for him to care completely for himself, but, he is determined to come home....He is one tough cookie! I can't believe he survived this, I am so thankful that we will actually have more time with him; I hope the pain he is in has been controlled somewhat, but at least I will get to see him for a while longer and get to take him out into the sun; which he just loves! thanks so much for all of your prayers and positive thoughts for him

I'm so glad he will be able to go home Terry, and that you are getting to spend some extra time with him. I'm sure it will be so good for him to be in his own environment. Hospitals have their purpose, but they aren't the same as being home by any stretch of the imagination. I'll keep him in my prayers Terry.

Rick came home today....it is so good to see him, he is so weak, but happy to be home
