| ScienceDaily (June 29, 2008) — St. Jude Medical, Inc. has announced the first patient implants in a clinical study that is investigating whether deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy will help people who suffer from major depressive disorder, a severe form of depression.

| There was someone on our local news who had this done in PA and she's doing great. But it's not FDA approved for depression yet, hence your insurance company won't pay for it  | |
