Oh, Honey Girl...I know it. What an awful place to be in. I'm so sorry. I just got my meds adjusted to help with mine...but today I'm having chest pain and had to take the dreaded morphine so that means mania..but not so bad that it's nerve wracking...just lack of sleep. I did take a xanax with it so that should help. Do you have any meds you're able to take during the manic attacks? My doc has me on an as needed xanax and an extra trazadone which really makes a difference. The trazadone is an old fashioned anti depressant that they don't use for that anymore. They use if for sleep now..it's non addictive and it works soooo good. I've been on it since 2001. It makes you feel nice and sleepy, and if you happen to wake up in the night, you're able to go right back to sleep and you don't wake up with a sleep hangover. I swear it was my wonder drug and I am curious as to why more docs don't prescribe it. In fact, my pdoc and I were just talking about this on Friday. It's so safe. I take 200mgs normally, but am allowed an extra 100 if I'm having problems and that does the trick if I remember to take it...lol. My biggest problem when I was manic was that..if I could get to sleep..my mind would pull me out of sleep and I felt as if I had taken a long nap and I was up then all nite. The trazadone stops that cycle. The more sleep you can get during a manic cycle, the quicker it will stop. I hope you can get some relief, Sweetie. I love you so much!

I'm finally getting more stable. I was awful and had bad thoughts. I got put on some strongers meds and I'm somewhat better now. I hate being BP sometimes. Now I'm waiting for the crash

When I was younger, I enjoyed the ride...especially the highs cuz of the energy they gave me. Now..it's a nightmare cuz you know what comes next. Just remember your points of light, Sweetie. Everybody who loves you so much and how important you are to all of them, how awesome of a person you truly are...that's hard to remember when you're down...so keep popping in here even if it's just to read about how much we love you...remember that each day you wake up is one day closer to it being over...that's one of the biggest things you can tell yourself...it won't last forever even tho it might feel like it...we're here for you..I'm here for you...IM me and I'll give you my number...you can call me collect if you need to..anytime day or night..I'm here for you.
