well DUH! We women had that one figured out already. I'm raising two granddaughters alone on a fixed income, it's getting tougher to make ends meet every day.

I heard on the news that more stores than ever are allowing lay aways because people can't afford it all at once

WalMart stopped their layaways last year because they said it wasn't profitable. Today I saw two commercials for KMart advertising that they have layaway. Wonder if WalMart is going to start layaways again now...will be interesting to see what happens.

I haven't heard anything about Walmart starting layaways again. I think in 2006 when they stopped is when they started to have financial problems

Yeah Mike that was there downfall. I think a lot of stores are thinking about going back to it this year because of the economy

The stores that don't have layaway this year are really going to lose money. I know I'll be using layaway for Christmas this year, it's the only way I can do it right now.

All I can say is thank goodness I don't have many, actually any, one to buy for. Just the guys at work and I buy them alcohol.
