What's the weather like for you today?

Snow and ice and I have to drive in it

It was 22 at 8 this morning! high temp is suppose to be 40 burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well, we have a foot of snow from two snow events... most roads are ice and the hills are impossible to travel (and we live in the mountains and foothills!). Winds are supposed to be 70 mph with gusts to 90mph and temps in the teens... so wind chill is gonna be nuts! I'm betting we lose power as it is supposed to snow, then rain then snow and all the trees have a lot of snow on them already. We will be OK as we have a woodstove and lots of wood. We can freeze pop bottles of water for the fridge and freezer. We can cook on the woodstove and if I have to I can put chains on and drive to town. We will have fun with candles and board games, so it is all good right?

It's only 9 degrees here with wind chills below zero

We're suppose to get rain/snow from this afternoon until Thursday, then it moves toward you all, Stay safe and warm everyone! When it storms here, my internet goes down....So I may not get back on if it goes down unil Friday when I am in Phoenix

Well, I hope this day finds you all safe and warm! We sailed through the storms quite nicely... no power outages... the only damage was I lost the plumbing in the old house. I had a faucet dripping but it froze INSIDE the house so that it was a solid chunk of ice from the faucet to the basin!!! Oh well, I turned off the water and drained what I could outta the pipes and I'll sort it out when it gets warmer.
I really feel for those who have not done as well -- so many BIG problems out there!!!

Weather is frightful, cold, windy. Where is spring? Does no good on my back

I hate to brag but we will be enjoying a high temp of 67 degrees sunny, not a cloud in sight, slight winds, perfect weather for jeans and a tee shirt

Freezing cold, 19 with wind chills way below zero. High wind warning, we had a wind gust of over 60mph. I hope I don't lose power

The snow is melting... we FINALLY can see the road, but the creek is roaring!! Next comes floods and mud... wake me in spring time!!!
No, really we have been enjoying the powerful beauty of winter. We have truly been enjoying staying close to the woodstove and NOT driving anywhere -- suits me FINE. But break is over and back to work we all go. It will be good to fall back in the routine of doing school.
It will be good to have temps in the 40's where we "belong" here in the rainforest. We are not used to "real winter" just cool and gray rainy stuff. It is funny though, my kids were disapointed that we did NOT lose power -- seems they like candles and cooking on the woodstove!

John, sounds so nice where you live, here is it cold, lows in the 20's, high's in the 50's, was raining, now it is just windy and cold
