Deadly strength I know, with my bare hands can I slay my enemies
With a word, legions of angels draw flaming sword
But I am a gentle man, down on my knees with a child
I will give you my strength, my valor on my honor
Dangerous, but good, I receive all with thanksgiving
Whole in mind, body and spirit – formidable
I’ll fight for freedom and truth, I’ll fight!
First blood may not be mine to draw
But I will not run – take fear demons
For on my side is my sword, in my heart too
Never military, forever a warrior my helmet invisible
Truth is buckled about me, my shield, faith
Righteousness my claim, not my own but borrowed
Shoulder to shoulder, our shields impenetrable!
Rattle our scabbards speed fear with cadence
Watch the enemy cower and run! Toothless hag!
And if this tent should fail, flowers will grow where I lay
But the enemy will not have me, for with the king will I be! | |
