I’m trying hard to understand where you’re coming from, but if the only “road sign” I have to go on is silence. I am left to few options. I would like to believe you still care about our friendship. I would like to believe that what we forged together was not a farce. I would like to believe that all of our fun was not in vain. I would like to believe that you don’t really think I could ever resent the flesh and blood you care whole-heartedly about. I would like to believe that you know me better than that.
I do believe in time. And I do believe in truth. However, I believe in honesty and communication; I also know that silence is an effective (albeit hurtful) way of communicating.
What we have in this world … what we have been given in this world is ours to shape. I believe in the goodness of souls. I believe in your goodness. I believe that if you believe in ME, you will see that I have never judged you. I believe, one day, when you feel like you’ve got “it” right … one day, you’ll turn to me again, and say, “I believe in you too.”
