| wow lovely raised beds. yeah i couldnt do a garden this year cause we need to get a friend to find time to bring his bulldozer over and turn a half an acre for us. plus we never got the tiller this year and its already too late to set out about anything now. but next year will be on the ball. i did set out 8 pepper and tomato plants in a flower bed i made. And of course all the flowers in pots etc are doing well ( orchards, irises, cyclamens, hawthorn, and various other ones) Its odd that shamrock grows very well out here and i can literally transplant it anywhere and it will take off. | |

| I am starting to raise the beds a little higher each year because my husband and I both have very bad backs. We have always had gardens and when we lived in Corpus Christi we had so many tomatoes we were giving them away to anyone who would take them LOL Our garden was so big it was featured on the news that year :) | |

| oh my how neat! so you are in texas where? corpus cristi? hm i am not that familiar with texas yet - this is like my 6 month here i think. yet it is so neat how gardens do well here. Pecan trees grow fanatically here in paradise. do they grow where you are at? | |

| Kat, I use to live in Corpus Christi but I am from Austin :) I now live in a little southeast Oklahoma town called Wilburton. We have a pecan tree right on our property line with the people next door so it's wherever they fall as to who gets them LOL I think Texas grows better gardens than here. Everyone is having a problem with tomatoe plants the past few years here.
Mustang, I use to live in an apartment in Houston and we grew things on the porch including some herb that did quite well in a very small space :) I did not partake but my landlord would come by and pluck a few leaves now and then LOL | |
