I have to ask

I've alluded to this in a previous post that I was researching. I was researching bipolar and manic depression for myself. I'm not sure if I am but this is some of the things happening to me lately.

I’m a very talkative person and people are telling me to slow down.

I feel like I don't need sleep.

Friends have been telling me that I’ve been acting strange lately.

I feel sluggish most of the time and just not with it.

I'm having a hard time concentrating and it's hard to stay focused.

I don’t get pleasure doing the things that I’ve always loved to do.

I have many aches and pains from the past that just won’t go away.

I find myself getting angry so fast.

I can’t figure out why I feel disappointed and scared.

I’d rather be alone than talk to people.

The highs and lows seem to change as the day goes on.

My mood swings are causing problems at work.

My question is this. Does this sound like bipolar?

How long has this been going on Brianna? Have you talked to your doctor about this? I probably know the answer, you didn't

It could be Brianna. It sounds like you're a little manic and also depressed. If it is, no worries. It can be treated with meds. It's just finding the right mix

Mike it's been going on for about 4 months. It all started during tax season. I thought it was just stress but now things have slowed down and it's still happening And no I have talked to "anyone" about this except you guys.

I think you should speak to your doctor....you have enough 'symptoms' to justify at least that!!

I hate to say this but it could be so many things and especially women, around your age, (believe me I remember) start having symptoms of pre-menopause or you could be getting fibromyalgia.
Those things can cause the same symptoms as our depression and anxiety plus add to our symptoms if we already have depression and associated disorders.
With you having them continuosly for so long now, it could more than likely be one of these things.
I would talk to your Dr.
Knowledge is power and just knowing what is causing your symptoms could make you feel better if that makes sense
I am sure if you visit a site about these two things, you will see that your symptoms are listed.
It wouldn't hurt to look :)

P.S. Do you take meds for depression or anything ?

I do take Cymbalta for depression Delta. Sometimes it works, other times I just crash and don't feel like getting out of bed some days. But I have a very demanding job and I have to work. I'm almost afraid to research things on the net because I scare the heck out of myself sometimes. I'll call my primary and see what she thinks

I took cymbalta for awhile but it made me have hot flashes at night so I had to quit.
I can understand about not feeling like getting out of bed for work.
I have had depression and my other disorders since I was young and had to live with them because no Dr. I went to when I was younger knew what the heck I was talking about when I told them how I felt (symptoms of depression,anxiety, etc) I guess it wasn't that well known back then.
I would miss work because of it.
It was especially hard when I was in the Texas National Guard.
I know how scary it can be too, all these symptoms bothering our lives, holding us back from our full potential when all the people around us all seem so "normal"
I am sure it is something you can treat and please let us know what your primary care Dr. says.

Delta's right sweetie. It could be any of a number of things, including hormonal. It sucks big time being a woman some times. Men have it so easy

Brianna, being a women does suck sometimes, but it could very well be chronic fatigue disorder, especially with tax season just ending. Go to your doctor and discuss all possibilities with him/her. I just found out I have had it for years along with the bipolar. (no wonder I thought I was crazy for so long!) Knowledge is power, you can deal with what ever it is if you know what it is. The symptoms could be anything or everything....just go and have a physical. please.

I'll call this week and try to get it. Today was horrible at the picnic. I felt okay then all of a sudden I felt like I had to get away from people. I hate it like this.

Yes they are

I feel that way at times Brianna

I called my primary and she said I can come in tomorrow and talk to her. We'll see. Very emotional day at work. One girl gave her two weeks notice and I really enjoyed her company
