Never so close, man to machine
feeling you breathe, and what it all means
you must have a heart, my life your such a part
as you take in fuel and burn exuast
go as fast as I need, no matter the cost
and the satisfaction I thought never again I'd feel
and the realization, that this is actually real

maybee it was then the before time, that kept me unwell
living in despair, a daily hell
but these days so much more I can reach
nothing holding back, sucking me dry
on my soul, no longer sits a giant leach
just the will and the need to be
as i sit in the drivers seat,
with anxiety in my heart as I am waiting the roads to tear apart
and having a begining, not from the middle to start

so as he sleeps he waits
till i turn the key, he then awakes
I feel a smile as i step on the gas, warming his engine
his speed is only fast
in the waking state, in the now
dont matter when , dont matter how
just all we feel is our need for the next path
infront of us, or be it behind, together we shall search
together we shall find.

Dragon
Your rocking rhythmic thrumming hum reaches me through the ground, exciting me with your power, purring at the wait. I swing aboard, Dragon responds with a snort of smoke and a bellicose roar, eager for my touch. Fear and dread precede us, insects and dust swirl, small animals scatter while birds of prey swoop in our wake. We can tear the ground open to reveal her hidden secrets or to plant seeds of incredible dreams that grow in the heart of heaven.
Boundaries blur, did Dragon sense or did I respond? We are so powerful, mighty and squat, 300 hundred pounds per rear leg alone, and yet remember, Dragon, the time we picked up tail and ran on US 101? Me a dandy with a stellar jay's blue feather in my dusty hat, bandana over my face and worn out jeans, you with scales rough and brown, with patches of blue, powerful fore arms of red and shiny silver, blowing clouds of fearsome smoke. Amazing what we can be, Dragon and me!
