leftover
I saw you singing
some old song the rest of us forgot.
I turned away, ashamed, hurrying past.
But there you are, in my mind.
I should have asked, where you been.
Would you teach me the song?
Maybe I'll teach you mine.

Float
Vessel that holds the sky, mirror'd moods of swirling seasons
leaves floating, gently rippling the sky. looking down, I see up. So calm, fluid, storing the seasons. I want to be a part. I dream of diving, swimming down, floating lazily through the layers of consciousness. Each ripple widens, touching each other, reaching the shore. I feel it inside me, part of me, in my cells, in my blood, the sky reflected divinity expressed. Which is a reflection, and which is real?

Windwalking
Nothing's right, but then
nothing's really wrong.
Something has been left behind,
like waking after a dream,
but not remembering.
The hope for tomorrows
turned into yesterdays
written on the wind's
anxious pacing’s

PARTition
The sea refuses no river,
and yet gives itself to the clouds.
Rivers move mountains,
and yet follow the path of least resistance.
Sand is soft,
and yet wears away the cliff.
Seeking to be unseen,
I sit still in the spinning universe.
Seeking to be,
I breathe, dissolving the boundaries.
The wind cannot be seen,
and yet gives the tree great strength.
God is all,
and yet says only, "I AM"

Silt
Like a landscape after a flood
Nothing is right, covered in grey
Things don't seem to work
Sodden, my spirit can't rise
What's wrong, my eyes?
Feet of clay stumble,
Heavy with each step,
Muscles ache seems they will tear.
Sand in my socks cold, wet feet.
The scene is flat, pallid.
How I wish I could taste light again,
See the sound running down my chin.
Oh for the colors, light split open,
A joyous sound on my skin.
The lightness of laughter,
I'm flying again.
